With “Feminist Time Travel - Wann sind wir endlich da?”, ProQuote Film e.V. presents a new film series with the aim of honoring the significant contributions of FLINTA filmmakers to the German film industry. We will be making stops at various cinemas in Berlin and presenting exciting works from the last 100 years of film history together with female patrons and filmmakers. The first stop this year will be DIE BLEIERNE ZEIT by Margarethe von Trotta. Von Trotta's family tragedy is based on the biographies of Gudrun and Christiane Ensslin and deals with political issues in 20th century Germany like no other.

About

Germany, 1968: The priest's daughters Marianna and Juliane both fight for changes in society, like making abortion legal. However their means are totally different: while Juliane's committed as a reporter, her sister joins a terroristic organization. After she's caught by the police and put into isolation jail, Juliane remains as her last connection to the rest of the world.
