His thoughts have long been on a new project, a film about the Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi, who a few years earlier slapped a soldier in front of the cameras. Upon his arrival in the desert town, X. is warmly welcomed by Yahalom, the young deputy head of Israel's libraries. Before the event, however, a small formality would have to be taken care of: X. should sign a new form with which he confirms that he will not speak about certain topics. Instead of signing, X. begins a passionate fight for freedom of speech in his country.
