In 2022 Germany will finally phase out nuclear power: The last nuclear power plant will be shut down because the experience of Fukushima has shown that the risk is too high and the technology cannot be controlled. But on closer inspection it turns out to be an illusion that the nuclear problem would be solved: tens of thousands of tons of radioactive waste, the storage of which is completely unclear. Dangerous dismantling of the power plants that will take decades and cost many billions of euros. And European neighbors who are sticking to supposedly clean nuclear energy: 13 of the 27 EU countries operate nuclear power plants – and the expansion is continuing. The film ran in competition at renowned film festivals.

And Russia's war in Ukraine reveals the weaknesses of European energy policy, namely its dependence on Russia's fossil fuels and uranium for European nuclear power plants. Moderator: Lidia Perico
