A small village on the Bulgarian-Turkish border, where Mityo (Assen Blatechki), who is in his mid-forties, lives with his eighteen-year-old son Vasko (Ovanes Torosian). His wife Fanka has recently died and their relationship with their son is strained. When Mityo loses his job as a milk driver, his entire existence is at stake and there seems to be only one way out for him: He accepts the offer of his former army captain. He is to smuggle illegal refugees from Syria across the nearby border with Turkey into the EU. A momentous decision.
