Puccini's opera about passion, friendship and heartbreak, conducted by Kevin John Edusei, features an all-star cast.
Paris, 1900. Penniless poet Rodolfo thinks art is all he needs - until he meets the lonely seamstress Mimì who lives above him. Thus begins a timeless love story that blossoms, withers and blossoms again with the changing seasons. But while their friends Marcello and Musetta argue passionately and make up again, Rodolfo and Mimì are threatened by a force that is stronger than love. Richard Jones' staging brings to life the contrasts that characterized fin-de-siècle Paris—from bohemian apartments to glittering amusement arcades.
