Actress Mia (Emma Stone) and jazz musician Sebastian (Ryan Gosling) are looking for happiness in LA. They keep their heads above water with side jobs and after their paths cross by chance, they fall in love. Together they make plans for their future on stage. But they soon realize that they will have to make sacrifices for their dreams.
