Created in 1972, THE BITTER TEARS OF PETRA VON KANT is considered one of Rainer Werner Fassbinder's first great masterpieces. In 2022, François Ozon's new interpretation and homage to PETER VON KANT opened the Berlinale. Ozone follows the original constellation and plot point by point, but swaps the three lesbian women for three men.
