Umberto Eco's private library contains more than 30,000 contemporary and 1,500 antique books. Davide Ferrario takes us on a tour, combining new footage with material he shot with Eco in 2015 for a video installation at the Venice Biennale. He provides an insight into the library, which can be understood as a window into Eco's complex thinking and shows his idea of the library as the "memory of the world".
