The naive brothers Kipp and Most set off from West Germany to Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. Their grandmother has left them a house here. They head east at 80 km/h, with the inheritance certificate in their pockets. On their journey, the brothers more or less voluntarily make the acquaintance of Wiktor, a deserted Russian soldier, landlady Nadine and are finally pursued by the police. A northwest German look at the Wende years and at the same time director Detlev Buck's breakthrough.
