In Baghdad at a time of extreme violence, single mother and novelist Sara (Darina Al Joundi) struggles against the disintegration of her world after her Christian neighbour and best friend Sabiha (Badia Obaid) is expelled. For Sara and the people in her neighbourhood, even the execution of Saddam Hussein is not redemptive news. Their future remains uncertain, but Sara and Co. don't let their hope be driven out of them.
