Petra Kelly became famous not only as a co-founder of the Green Party and its leading star, but also as a woman who was able to establish a new, world-changing policy and take on two superpowers. This politically reflective cinema documentary tells the story of one of the most influential personalities in the former Bonn Republic.

The screening will be followed by a film discussion with the director Doris Metz, the producer Birgit Schulz and Lukas Beckmann (former parliamentary group leader of Bündnis 90/Die Grünen and companion of Petra Kelly) as well as the climate activist and film protagonist Luisa Neubauer. The discussion will be moderated by Maria Popov.

About

Petra Kelly became famous not only as a co-founder of the Green Party, but also as a woman who was able to establish a new, world-changing policy. As a symbolic figure of the peace movement in Europe, she demanded the radical transformation of society relentlessly. Environmental, peace and human rights issues were equally important to her. PETRA KELLY - ACT NOW! rediscovers the political activist and also sheds light on her role as a role model for today's movements.
